Gas-room items are received as ripening stock that cannot be picked until released. Each lot gets a ready date, the room records ripeness checks, and green stock can convert into a separate ripe SKU with its own price.
How ripening works.
Held from picking
Ripening lots cannot be picked until they are released.
Ready dates
Each lot gets a ready date from the item's ripening time.
Release on a timer or after a check
Release all, part, or push the date after the room checks the fruit.
Green to ripe
Convert a green SKU into a separate ripe SKU, linked by a batch code.
Ripe pricing
Price the ripe SKU from the green one plus a markup.
Put-away to the room
Put-away suggests the ripening destination.
