What is Standing order?

A recurring order placed automatically on a set schedule, such as every Tuesday, for a customer who buys the same items regularly.

A standing order is an agreement to deliver the same items on a regular schedule without the customer calling each time. Restaurants, schools and institutions often run on standing orders for staples like produce, dairy and paper goods.

Standing orders cut order-desk work and smooth demand, but they need care: prices change, items go out of stock, and customers forget to cancel during holidays. A good system creates each occurrence as a real order with current prices and the normal credit and stock checks, rather than repeating last week's invoice.

In APFoodz standing orders become real orders on the schedule you set.
